Matches are held in the following manner.
Non-Title fights:
Each match consists of three (3) minutes x three (3) rounds.
Title fights:
• Each match consists of three (3) minutes x five (5) rounds.
• The match can end by Knockout, Technical Knockout, Decision, Disqualification, Draw or No Contest.
• The fight is scored by three judges on a ten-point must system (The winner of each round receives ten points, and the loser receives nine or less. If the round is even, both competitors receive ten points). Awarding of points shall be based on the following elements:
o Whether an effective and accurate attack is recognized, and damage is inflicted on the opponent by authorized fighting techniques.
Points will be awarded in this priority:
Number of downs
Extent of damage inflicted on the opponent
Number of clean hits
Degree of aggressiveness (points in the offensive)
o The dominant fighter shall be awarded a score of ten (10), and points shall be deducted from his opponent

The Xtreme Fighting Association (XFA) is a professional full contact standup fighting organization. Xtreme Fighting showcases the excitement of stand-up fighting with knock-down, knock-out action from some of the world's most exciting and talented athletes. We are committed to providing our fans with the best fighting action ever, while at the same time protecting our fighters from long-term damage, common to most contact sports. Xtreme Fighting is a stand-up, combat-style, martial arts fighting sport which fuses centuries of tradition from martial arts such as karate, kung fu, tae kwon do and kickboxing, and is hugely popular in Europe, South America and Asia. The tryouts will be held at Striking Unlimited, which is owned by Ken Hahn, who is considered as one of the world's top trainers, and has a staff of other world class trainers specializing in all the major aspects of Martial Arts, including Frank Mir, former heavyweight champion.

Authorized Fighting Techniques:
The following fighting techniques are authorized: Straight punches, hooks, uppers, and backspin blows. Front kicks, low kicks, middle kicks, high kicks, side kicks, back kicks, inner thigh kicks, jumping kicks, and strikes with the knee.
The following restrictions apply to the use of the backspin blow.
a. The authorized area of contact for the backspin blow shall be the area of the glove where it bends at the wrist and beyond to the tip of the glove.
Foul Techniques:
A fighter who executes a foul technique may be penalized with a caution, warning, or a point reduction, whether or not the foul was intentional. The referee may determine the number of points to be deducted in each instance and shall base his determination on the severity of the foul and its effect upon the opponent.
Fouls:
The following are defined as fouls:
• Using the head to deliver a blow.
• Using the elbow.
• Attacking the opponent in the groin or throat (attacks to the groin with knee strikes or hand techniques shall be considered as low-blows and will be ruled as fouls).
• Using techniques from wrestling or judo such as throwing or submission techniques.
• Thumbing, choking or biting on the opponent.
• Attacking the opponent while he is down or in the process of getting up.
• Attacking the opponent while the referee is intervening to separate the fighters.
• Grabbing the ropes for any reason including the launching of an attack or for defensive purposes.
• Spitting at an opponent or using offensive or insulting language.
• Attacking the back of the head (the side of the head and the area around the ears are not considered as the back of the head and are valid target areas).
• Attacking the front of the knee.
• Attempting to cause the opponent to fall out of the ring.
• Voluntarily exiting the ring during the course of a match.
• Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the referee

Applications are now being accepted for the invitation-only tryouts. Professional and experienced amateur male and female fighters wanting to go professional will participate in various exercises that test a wide array of skills including speed, power, coordination, flexibility, and knowledge of the sport. They will also engage in sparring sessions with one another. After the tryouts, some of the fighters will be offered a contract to fight for the XFA and some fighters will be awarded with sponsorship packages from XFA's corporate sponsors.

Reis Sports Entertainment, LLC (RSE) is a Professional Martial Arts Promoter licensed by the Nevada State Athletic Commission. RSE created the sports brand, the Xtreme Fighting Association TM (XFA) which will be holding a series of events in Las Vegas, Nevada.
