200lbs droped down from 240lbs over the last 6 months stoped lifting weights and used body weight and exercises that used partnered body weight.I ate salad 7 times a day, cut red meat out along with salt, fried foods and pastries. I also trained 3 to 6 days a weeks with a week off every 3 weeks.I did mostly did a variety off exercises that alternated between anaerobic endurance(muscular) and aerobic endurance(cardio) oriented type work outs on the days that i didn't do fight specific training. It seems like not many people are on this site but it's a good place for me to look up different fights and locations. I'm train in MMA ,but i do kickboxing fights for fun and to keep my stikes sharp as razors, since it's my primary fighting style of fighting I been doing Bjj for almost 9 years while i was in the military( i'm still in ) I also currently instruct hand to hand combatives for the military, it's called modern army combatives it has BJJ,stick fighting ,Knife fighting and gun and rifle marksmanship and retention techniques in this form of of fighting that the army has us instruct. it's not for sport ,but combat. I'll add that the army holds MMA cage and ring fighting tournaments ,but the competition is set up differently with graduated rules system it starts out with basic rules for people with limited or no experience and this one is grappling only, the intermediate rules allow grappling and open handed striking and kicking almost like Vale Tudo rules, now the advanced rules allow closed fist striking, kicking, knees, elbows and grappling, it's the same rules the UFC uses(the unifide rules of mixed martial arts which is accepted by all state athletic commisions) it give the soldiers the opportunity to learn the rules so they can train and fight in MMA matches when they leave the army. with the graduated rules system soldiers who win in thier weight class at the basic rules matches move to compete at the graduated intermediate rule system which i explained, then the winners in their weight classes who compete and win then prepares to train to fight at the next graduated rule system at advanced competition level in the army we hold these fights at every base and the victors from each base from various units come together and then trains as a team to represent thier base or duty station around the world (Fort Bragg, Fort Benning, Fort Meade, Ect.)each base will send a team to fight in an army wide tournament held at Fort benning,Georgia to compete in thier weight class to be the top army fighter they will be fighting using MMA rules and depending on the location of the fight they might fight in the ring or the cage. that what's good with me , i'm enjoying life and training for fights keep supporting your boy friend and the sport cause one day it might be part of high school sports like wrestling, now that would be cool. I have a myspace my url is myspace.com/wolverine_83 my display name is wolverine83 from baltimore, maryland. get some people to send a friend request so i can add you and them to my page. you stay cool.
