Born and raised in the Vale-Tudo and Jiu Jitsu hotbed of Rio de Janeiro, Jorge Oliveira was literally weaned on fighting and martial arts. At the age of 4, his grandmother enrolled him in Jiu Jitsu and judo classes. When Jorge was 14, he continued his tapout training under Carlson Gracie and the Garcie-Barra dojo. At age 22, he started to compete in tournaments, and at 28, he was sent to America to teach at Ralph Gracie's San Francisco dojo. Wanting to pursue his own professional fight career, Jorge relocated to Los Angeles, where he's established himself as part of the Legends MMA team. Jorge currently fights for the Palace Fighting Championship, just outside of Los Angeles.
