Hello to all, I would like to thank everyone involved in my show this past weekend. The fighters all fought their hearts out, Thank you the coaches for bring their fighters to the show and trainining them as well as the do. I would like to thank Joel Bekker for doing an outstanding job of refing and the crowd for coming out to support the fighters who worked and trained so hard. There was a mixed up with the USMTA officials. Clint sent me a very nice e-mail the next day:

Date April 27th 2008

To Michael Coleone,

Dear Mr. Corleone, First  of all  I  must  apologies to  you openly and  personally to  the  unfortunate  set of circumstances that caused  such a  problem at  your event.  As I was Director of the Judges and Referee’s I must be held accountable and justifiably responsible for the outcome of last night’s debacle. Due to the lack of communication with the Judges and  personnel on my part, and  because of personal circumstances that were beyond  my control,  I  humbly ask  you to accept my personal apologies.

To  make sure that  this  never  happens  again  I  have asked  a Director, Khun Leon Bonewicz to take  over the position as  National Director  of the  Judges and Referees. His guidance will make sure this type of mistake cannot happen again. I also apologize to Referee Joel Bekker  who on  his own looked after the  event.

To all the competitors, coaches, and Instructors who took part in the event, I also ask for your forgiveness and understanding of the personal circumstances surrounding the outcome. Because of this, I was unable to take care and  give Mr. Corleone’s  event  the attention  it  needed.  I apologize and hope you will all forgive me of this.

I hope you will all understand that this is not a regular happening and that the USMTA should not be ostracized because of this.

Once again,  I  apologize to Mr. Corleone and  to  Kevin Molina, Derek Oldensmith, Patrick Mahoney, Jeremy Graber, Stoney Morales,  Turan Hassanov , Peter Simonelli , Valentin Strestratichuk ,Brandon Walker, George Geller, Tim Berke, Zach Mellot, Peter Barba, Charles Arroyo, Ms. Ariana Dindiyal, and  Ms. Ashley May, Peter Kokoska, Tom, Mario Perez , and Guy Lombardo, all  who  took  part  in the April 26th event.

I will understand if  Mr.  Corleone does not wish to work with the association  again, but  I  ask that he allow  me  to correct my mistake and  let  us proceed with the next event.

Sincerely yours,

Clint Heyliger

President USMTA
