I am a chemical engineer working for DuPont in Houston, Texas. I live in Clear Lake. I have lived all over the US in my life. I went to MIT for undergraduate school and the University of Texas for my Master's Degree.

It was at MIT that I first had the pleasure of training in American Jiu-Jitsu. I was rehabilitating my left knee after ACL surgery during the summer and Sensei Terrell Bennett (a white belt with me at the time) talked me into going with him to an AJJ class tought by one of my MIT Basketball teammates Sensei Godfrey Inniss with Sensei Dara Avila (nee Sobo) and headed by Sensei Tony Avila and Sensei Felix Dashevsky. After 1 class I was hooked and never looked back. I have had wonderful teachers, peers, and students since 1999 when it all started. After I graduated in 2001, I worked hard to stick with AJJ as well as train in other disciplines to grow as a martial artist, student, and instructor.

When I'm not traveling, working, or training, I like vegging out in front of my TV either watching sports, movies, TV, or playing my PS3.
