Brock Lesnar may be the real deal. Even though I was willing to give him a fair chance and keep my mind open, I did not think I was going to say this prior to the fight against Frank Mir.

Submissions reigned supreme. Both main events ended in them, as did a fair number of the undercard fights.
As predicted (see my comment to phatdragon's Lesnar blog), Frank Mir submitted Brock Lesnar in the first round. Lesnar came out like the machine that he is, taking Mir down and unloading some rapid ground and pound. But, Mir's guard proved too dangerous. The 7th installment of TUF will feature 32 fighters, half of whom will not get to live in the house. That likely means that 16 fights will have to be shown in quick succession, weeding out the 16 contenders who will live in the house and train with Forrest Griffin and Rampage.
