I love to fight. I will fight anyone anytime anywhere. It doesnt matter your color handicapp height weight deameanor you want it you get it.

I come from the rugged streets of Baltimore Maryland also known as Bodymore Murdaland. I live a life here that you only seen in movies. I drive tractor trailers for a living now. I been studing martial arts all my life on and off. I devote all my time now to martial arts training. This fight style was created by my great uncles L.R. Butcher known as Sonny, and Edward Butcher Sr. known as Eddie. Uncle Sonny trained under many great Grandmasters who taught various styles of martial arts. Sonny studied Tae Kwon Do, Buddah Khan, Shou Ron Rue, Jue Jitz Zue, Shou Dae Kan, Hop Ki Do, Ty Chi, and Ish An Rue. After mastering these styles He cultivated his own style Death Ki Do. Sonny taught this style he created to all his family. Eddie Sr. brought weightlifting and boxing to the Death Ki Do style to perfect an already powerful and masterful form of Karate. Eddie Jr., took to the style more than the rest of the family. Lil Eddie as we know him has fought all over the world against many great fighters. The Three together train and tweeked and perfected the style creating various champions. The greatest accomplishment was the creation of an indestructable peice of machinery named Devin Butcher the son of Eddie jr. Their are many more champion fighters in the family with superior skills. In the Eyes of the grandmaster a white belt is the most dangerous fighter around and it holds true. We have an elite group of white yellow and green belts that can eliminate a brown or black belt in point or full contact fighting.

DEATH KI DO

Eddie Butcher’s grandfather introduced kickboxing to his nine sons. All of them dabbled in the sport. Butcher’s father, Eddie Butcher Sr. and uncle L.R. Butcher even earned a black belt in multiple styles of karate eventually creating their own style Death Ki Do. "Our family reunion was really a family bout," says the third-generation martial arts pro. "We would put on gear and spar a while and then eat."

Today, Eddie Butcher continues the family legacy. At 5-feet-9-inches tall and 175 pounds, Eddie holds three world kickboxing championship titles: Champions Karate Association, Fight Factory Kickboxers Association and the Continuance Contact Championship. Butcher also fought on a U.S. karate team, winning a gold medal at the South Africa World Championships in 1986.

In fact, he has fought all over the world - South Africa, Belgium, Germany, London - and always is looking for the next title bout. He wouldn’t mind one that is closer to home, he says. "I’ve never defended any of my titles at home in Baltimore. I want the people at home to know that I’m representing them."

With his son Devin, Eddie Butcher runs the Butcher’s Martial Arts School, where children and adults can learn basic self-defense, boxing and kickboxing, as well as self-discipline and "personal courage."

We always had to enter championship competitions the hard way - without a promoter or sponsor. But that hasn’t stopped a man with a wildly aggressive style, which includes stunts and gymnastics. Now, one of his goals is to star in action films such as Kickboxer I and II and Bloodsport, which increased the sport’s popularity in the United States

Devin is currently 19-0 standing at approx 6 feet 165 pounds a sixth degree black belt holding five amatuer titles. Devin proclaims after his 20th victory he no longer desire to fight amatuer. THATS RIGHT he wants to go PRO. He is currently in the running to be on the USA team for the pan-american games in Beijing. He has already won the first of a series of elimination matches to qualify the top kickboxers in the usa.
