AMA vs PRO mma rules

SO heres the deal. I'm not sure how other organizations work but the uskba does not allow punches to the head on the ground, nor do the allow head kicks while standing. recently I showed up to a fight @ Mohegan Sun and my opponent decided the day of the fight that he did not want to fight me in the agreed style(muay thai) but wanted to fight MMA. The way I see it if your dressed for the dance, mine as well go. So I took the fight. The bell rings and I find out in the first 10 seconds that this guy has NO HANDS... I slug him a few times and he grabs me. I judo toss him and take side control. FOr the next three minutes I defend myself out of three submissions on the ground. Now I'm pissed because I trained for three months to kikc him square in the jaw, and I can't do it. We got to the ground, and I have three options. Get up, submit, or submit him. Truth be told, I gots no ground game. I'm a muay thai fighter. So at the end of the second round I got caught in an armbar. Ok fuck it!!! But then it got me thinking... If I could have kick that muthafuckas head, It would be lights out. If I could have punched him in the face..with a lil G'n'P, then I would have atleast had a chance. Now I don't mind lossing, but I think that these rules need to be looked at. I get it, we are amatuers and rules are there for our safety. but this guy is allowed to rip my arm out the socket, but I can't kick him in the head....Am I the only one that finds this silly. This means that if you get on the ground it is a total submission match..we mind as well be grappling. Do I have sour grape from my loss, I don't think so, I think we need to reevaluate these rules. Tell me what you think.
