"JUST keeping it REAL"
Posted On 10/27/2009 16:13:33 by MMAhead86

I just wanted to put the TRUTH out there............. Shogun should of WON. This was REAL ( B.S.) .....ASK ANYBODY?

Shogun landed more strikes overall and conflicted more damage to his opponent, PERIOD. This was an MMA match not a Boxing match. Those boxing judges need to understand that (kicks do count) and Shogun clearly won. Realistically, you should not have to KO,TKO or Submit your opponent in order to win decisively.

Overall (strikes) My source - Fightmetric.com

"Machida"

strikes- 34 - 108 = 32%

"Shogun"

strikes- 80 - 146 = 55%

statistically,Shogun (the 6-1 underdog) landed more strikes and (significant strikes) while strategically beating and controlling Machida the majority of the rounds in a way that most people thought was impossible. (not me though) Machida was taken out of his game plan from the opening round and all the way to the end. UFC President Dana White was even surprised by the outcome/outrageous decision as he spoke with frustration during the UFC 104 post-press conference as he said and I quote, "I thought 'Shogun' won the fight." White also went on to say he was displeased with the result and that there will definitely be a rematch.

I (the fan) pay hard earned money on a regular bases to watch a sport that I love and is suppose to be (As real as it gets) remember? Shogun was the true victim (YES) but we the fans were robbed out of seeing Clean called fight, very unfortunate but like I said before,I think the CSAC should just simply overturn their decision and give the true champion what it rightfully his. They are the real criminals/crooks in all this mess. It was quite obvious who really won the fight. "Mauricio "Shogun" Rua"

In my opinion there isn't no need for a rematch. The CSAC should overturn their decision. Shogun was ROBBED. Point blank "PERIOD" This is just my opinion but it's shared by many.
