An overwhelmingly important battle between unbeaten UFC light-heavyweight contenders Lyoto Machida (13-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) and Thiago Silva (13-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) was recently added to a quickly filling UFC 89 card.
The UFC confirmed the bout on its official website.
UFC 89 takes place Oct. 18 at The National Indoor Arena in Birmingham, England, and features a main event between middleweights Michael Bisping and Chris Leben
