Samuel Peter won the WBC heavyweight title by knocking out Oleg Maskaev in the 6th round on Saturday night. Peter had previously lost a close bout with Vladimir Klitchko, the #1 ranked heavyweightin the world and the current WBO and IBF heavyweight champion. Against fans' wishes though, WBC is likely to put Peter up against Vladimir Klitschko's brother, Vitaliy, who is now the #1 challenger in WBC.
