Atlantic City, NJ) – November 6 – HDNet Fights, the newly launched Mixed Martial Arts League is proud to announce a new partnership with legendary World Champion Louis Neglia’s Ring of Combat.
Louis Neglia has provided the most action-packed mixed martial arts events in the Northeast through his Ring of Combat tournaments and is poised to take the next step with high-definition broadcast exposure on HDNet. Previous Ring of Combat events have been televised on the Madison Square Garden Cable Network, Telemundo, Sports Channel, ESPN2 and on iNDEMAND Pay Per View.
The partnership will debut with the broadcast of HDNet Fights Presents: Ring of Combat. This first telecast on HDNet will be of Neglia’s Ring of Combat Beasts of the Northeast Tournament Finals on March 7th at the Tropicana Casino in Atlantic City, NJ. HDNet will air the event at a later date to be determined.

Louis Neglia’s Ring of Combat Launches New “Tournament of Champions” Series

Exciting new format brings next level of MMA action to the northeast!

Ring of Combat, the largest Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event in the Northeast returns to Atlantic City, NJ World Kickboxing Champion Louis Neglia, will feature the most talented, exciting and undiscovered MMA fighters in the world today. ROC marks the beginning of the new, high-stakes ‘Tournament of Champions’ MMA event series. Under this new format, eight fighters in three weight classes will battle it out for the championship of their division and their share of over $100,000. Tournament participants have been selected based upon experience, events they competed in the past, prior martial arts experience and the team they train under.

Time Limits
In round one (Preliminaries), matches will be 2 four minute rounds (an additional 4 minute round will be added in the event of a tie at the end of round 2). The Semi-Finals will be 3 four minute rounds and the Finals will be 3 five minutes rounds. The preliminary bouts will be 2 four minute rounds. Fouls

1. Butting with the head.
2. Eye gouging of any kind.
3. Biting.
4. Hair pulling.
5. Fish hooking.
6. Groin attacks of any kind.
7. Putting a finger into any orifice or into any cut or
laceration on an opponent.
8. Small joint manipulation.
9. Striking to the spine or the back of the head.
10. Striking downward using the point of the elbow.
11. Throat strikes of any kind, including, without
limitation, grabbing the trachea.
12. Clawing, pinching or twisting the flesh.
13. Grabbing the clavicle.
14. Kicking the head of a grounded opponent.
15. Kneeing the head of a grounded opponent.
16. Stomping a grounded opponent.
17. Kicking to the kidney with the heel.
18. Spiking an opponent to the canvas on his
head or neck.
19. Throwing an opponent out of the ring or fenced area.
20. Holding the shorts or gloves of an opponent.
21. Spitting at an opponent.
22. Engaging in an unsportsmanlike conduct that
causes an injury to an opponent.
23. Holding the ropes or the fence.
24. Using abusive language in the ring or fenced area.
25. Attacking an opponent on or during the break.
26. Attacking an opponent who is under the care of the
referee.
27. Attacking an opponent after the bell has sounded the
end of the period of unarmed combat.
28. Flagrantly disregarding the instructions of the
referee.
29. Timidity, including, without limitation, avoiding contact
with an opponent, intentionally or consistently
dropping the mouthpiece or faking an injury.
30. Interference by the corner.
31. Throwing in the towel during competition.
32. A grounded opponent cannot kick or be kicked-only
push kicks. Ways To Win

1. Submission by:
Physical tap out.
Verbal tap out.

2. Technical knockout by the referee stopping the
contest.

3. Decision via the scorecards, including:
Unanimous decision.
Split decision.
Majority decision.
Draw, including:
Unanimous draw.
Majority draw.
Split draw.

4. Technical decision.

5. Technical draw.

6. Disqualification.

7. Forfeit.

8. No Contest

  Hello, My name is Douglas Ahammer, 22, Queens, NY. My background is Muay Thai, Boxing and BJJ. I like to give my best!!! and fight with reckless aggression to give some exciting matches. I train at Kid Kellys Boxing Gym in Brooklyn, NY. Some of my goals are to obtain money, fame, women and to support my fam. My MMA heroes are Anderson Silva, GSP and Miguel Torres. My specialty is Muay Thai and my ammy record is 3-2. I fight at 125 Bantamweight but i want to gain weight and hopefully get to 135. I train hard and im willing to learn some new things and i like to have fun, eventually fight for the WEC and become champ.
