My Training style
I competed in the Southern California Pro-Am Invitational.I was the only one of 16 competitors to wear a gi in this gi-optional tournament and managed to take first place after submitting all of my opponents including 2004 BJJ World Champion Cassio Werneck and King of the Cage Champion Joe Stevenson. I competed in the 2003 Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Tournament and in the most exciting match of the competition submitted 2 time World Champion Fabio Leopoldo with my "bombard" sequence from the closed guard. My most recent achievement was in the 2005 Pan American Submission Grappling Tournament where I defeated all of my opponents placing me in the finals against my brother, Ryron. I lost in the finals by "triangle choke" earning me 2nd place, but the rumor is that I let his big brother win.
