- Child Martial Arts Programs
At Combat Sports Club, we offer the best in child martial arts programs. We specialize in REAL Mixed Martial Arts training taught by Guy Mezger (Martial Arts Hall of Fame inductee, 5 time World Champion, IMAA Instructor of the Year). Your child will have fun building self discipline, strength, confidence and focus. Call to get your child started in one of our dynamic programs: Lion Cubs ages 5-6 or Combat Sports Kids ages 7-12.
- Kickboxing
This program is an international style of kickboxing that blends the science of western boxing with the art of eastern kicking. Students are taught various striking techniques ranging from kicking, punching and knee strikes. Kickboxing is the most effective form of striking arts. It is the perfect blend of modern training with traditional values. This is a great way to get into incredible shape, learn an effective self-defense method or as a springboard into competitive kickboxing.
Level I – The class focus is on developing both real kickboxing techniques and physical conditioning. This class breaks down into technique development, bag work, focus mitt work, kickboxing drills and conditioning training. There is no sparring (practice fighting). **Class requirements: 16oz. gloves, hand wraps and a desire to get sweaty.
Level II – The focus of this class is to teach the science of fighting. The class uses drills, both individual and partner training to develop skills used in the ring and/or self-defense. Light sparring is introduced in this class, it prepares you for the next level. **Class requirements: Two months of Level I and/or instructor recommendation. 16oz. gloves, hand wraps, shin guards, head gear, mouthpiece, groin protector (men).
Level III – This is the sparring class. In this course students practice their fighting skills in both boxing and/or kickboxing. The amount varies on the individuals training needs and focus. **Class requirements: Three months of training and an instructor recommendation. 16 oz. gloves, shin pads, head gear, mouthpiece, groin protector (men), hand wraps.
- Boxing
This is the classical western boxing with a little twist. Guy Mezger's Combat Sports Club Boxing trains people in classical sport oriented boxing and in "Combat Boxing", which has more applications in self-defense and cross training for other martial arts. This program is taught in both group and private training settings. Boxing is recommended for people looking to just get into shape, for practical self-defense, or anyone wanting to compete.
- Submission Grappling
Free form grappling that incorporates techniques from Olympic wrestling: Judo, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and Sambo. The emphasis is on takedowns, body position, and submission holds. This class is a pre-requisite to the Elite Free-Fighting program. **Requirements: Wrestling shoes (for mat use only), kneepads, mouthpiece, and rashguard.
- Lion's Den Elite MMA
This is the world famous elite martial arts program that has been successful in NHB and Mixed Martial Arts competitions around the world. This Pancreation style of fighting uses technique from both kickboxing and submission wrestling. **Requirements: Must pass qualifier and have trained in Level III Kickboxing. Gear Requirements: MMA Training gloves, mouthpiece, groin protector.
- Muay Thai
This style of kickboxing is from Thailand. This is the root of all modern kickboxing. Muay Thai boxing is a no-nonsense martial arts system employing kicks, punches, knee strikes and elbow strikes. **Requirements: 16oz. gloves, shin guards and hand wraps
