With the Grandmastership, Professor Wally wishes it to be clear that all authority within the system worldwide passes to his successor. It is significant that with the headmastership of the system, the legal title to the name of Small Circle Jujitsu was also passed to Leon Jay. When the Professor dissolved Small Circle Jujitsu International last year, he explicitly stated that all personal ranks bestowed by him would be honored in perpetuity. However, all future ranks will be in the gift of the new Grandmaster, and existing rank holders can only bestow rank in Small Circle with the official approval of the second-generation head of system.
Professor Leon has created the Professor Jay’s Small Circle Jujitsu organization, which will oversee all official Small Circle activities, from syllabus and ranking to the promotion and dissemination of the system. Professor Lee Eichelberger, US Technical Director, will be managing the development in the US. The aims will be to encourage the expansion of the direct student body of the style, its continued development, and ensure the continued positive image of the Small Circle family. In the near future the official web site will be restructured to show the current official status of all teaching rank students of the style.
Both Professors have asked that all schools affiliated with the system should display this statement publicly, complete and unedited, either in hard-copy on the notice boards, or in a place of prominence on their web sites, so that there should be no confusion.

I have studied most of my life with my father in Small Circle Jujitsu, Kodenkan Jujitsu and Kodokan Judo. I have also has been studying many years in the forms of pressure point fighting from Master George Dillman. I been active teaching seminars in the United States and Europe where I incorporates my unique blend of Small Circle Jujitsu and pressure point knockout techniques into a dynamic and deadly system.I have had the privilege to appear as one of the performers for Professor Wally Jay’s videos, "Small Circle Jujitsu’s Tendon Tricep Armbars & Armlocks and Effective Finger Locking Techniques".

Hi I am Professor Leon Jay the son of Wally and Bernice Jay, I have been training in the martial arts for over 47 years, having begun at the age of two in my father's dojo. Apart from the obvious advantage of a lifetime's training at the hands of Professor Wally Jay, I have had access to many teachers of exceptional talent and accomplishment.

My wife, Sandra and I settled in Surrey in 1990. I have concentrated upon seminar teaching within the U.K., Europe, America and Australasia, and on working on the integration of Small Circle JujitsuTM with the principles of Pressure Point fighting. Small Circle JujitsuTM, and my company, Jay Productions have made a major contribution to the seminar scene in the U.K.
I was exposed to a wealth of talent at an early age; I often came home from school to find Bruce Lee, to whom his father was collaborator, mentor and friend, on the doorstep awaiting the Professor’s return from work. My father's friends and contemporaries from Hawaii numbered such martial artists as Ed Parker, founder of American Kempo Karate, and a relative of Bernice Jay by marriage.
I comes from a martial arts family of legendary skills. My father belief, that all martial arts benefit from a free and open exchange of ideas and techniques, dominated. Apart from a highly developed set of sophisticated teaching and technical principles, this is perhaps the single most identifiable feature of Small Circle JujitsuTM. The Polynesian concept of Pohai, or a circle of friends, is what most informs the Jay family approach to the arts.
