My match with Diego Saraiva at UFC 73 was designated as the "fight of the night" by the UFC. I just won at Ultimate Fighting Championship 82 defeating John Halverson by unanimous decision.

Hi my name Jorge (pronounced George) I am the Lead Instructor and a Owner of Jorge Gurgel MMA Academy in West Chester, OH. I am at the school training my students almost every night of the week. I am originally from Fortaleza, Brazil. I came to America as an exchange student in High School. I then stayed on to attend college in Dayton. While in school I worked full time teaching BJJ in the evenings, waiting and busing tables late at night/early afternoons, and going to class in the morning. Since college I has been training and teaching full time. I now runs a large mixed martial arts school teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA based in West Chester, OH. Many instructors enjoy the dedication and respect that I shows my students and therefore the school has grown to include affiliated schools in several states.

Most fighters after a fight take some time off to recuperate and relax.However, I am not most fighters. "I got in the gym as soon as I got back.
