In 1994, Ken began to train Frank in submission fighting. Frank accompanied his brother to bouts in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and grew to love the sport. He became a member of Ken's training school, the "Lion's Den", and made his debut in the Pancrase organization in December 1994.
He debuted as a fighter in Pancrase on December 16, 1994, winning a decision victory over Holland's Bas Rutten. Shamrock went on to defeat Minoru Suzuki on January 28, 1996 to become the Provisional King of Pancrase. Before a sellout crowd in Yokohama he managed to lock a kneebar on Suzuki to secure the win and gain the provisional title that had been created because Rutten was unable to defend the title due to injury

Previously featured in California CEO Magazine, Frank Shamrock has developed and created successful businesses in the fields of fitness, law enforcement training, internet marketing, sporting equipment and apparel.

My Name is Frank Shamrock I am American mixed martial arts fighter. Shamrock was the first Middleweight champion in the UFC and retired as the 5-time undefeated champion. Shamrock was also crowned a temporary king of Pancrase. He is the current Strikeforce Middleweight Champion.
Frank is martial arts instructor and combat sports fan. I teach and train each day at my school the Shamrock Martial Arts Academy. I have been fighting since 94' and have fought in Japan, Brazil, The US and around the world.
My Training style
Frank Shamrock is a 7th Dan in Submission Fighting and the highest ranking instructor of the style in the United States. Adding that to his world championships and world records, Mr. Shamrock is internationally known as one of the best teachers of martial arts alive today.
Gifted as a teacher Mr. Shamrock is the Head Instructor for the Shamrock Martial Arts Academy where he still teaches every night.
As the founder of a multitude of martial systems including: SSF, Wild Cats, SODCS, F2. Mr. Shamrock takes the responsibility of being a teacher very seriously.
Traveling nationally and internationally for his renowned seminars; Mr. Shamrock has made a huge impact on a great many lives with his energetic style of interactive instruction.
Although Mr. Shamrock has achieved many accolades as a competitive athlete his proudest moment is to seeing the growth and success of his students; in their study of choice and especially in their lives.
