I have been in there with some of the sports’ greatest competition in my ten-plus year career. I have faced men such as Shonie Carter, Dave Strasser, Kazuo Misaki, Nick Diaz, Robbie Lawler, Karo Parisyan, former UFC welterweight champion Matt Hughes and current UFC welterweight champion Matt Serra.
I fought Jasson Gilliam at UFC 73 on July 7, 2007. I controlled the pace of the fight in the first round and eventually brought Gilliam to the ground. I worked from top position, and eventually sunk in an inverted triangle choke from top position. To seal the fight I locked in an inverted armbar on Gilliam's free arm forcing him to tap.
My most recent fight at a United Fight League show which took place Indianapolis, Indiana on August 11, 2007 I defeated Matt Brown by guillotine choke in the second round.
Chris "Lights Out" Lytle I was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, and graduated from Southport High School in 1993. At Southport, I was an active member of the wrestling team. In fact, to this day, I still participates in workouts at the Southport High School with the wrestling team and Coach Petty. I am married to Kristin and we have four children, Keegan, 12, Kaylin, 10, Corryn, 6, and Jake, 4. I am employed as a fireman at the Indianapolis Fire Department when I'm not fightingI
I started in 1998 just because it looked fun and I knew some friends who where getting involved. It was really just for fun at first. Fighting in the UFC I means I've been successful in what I've been trying to do. It means I'm at the top of the MMA world right now. I went to Indiana University and got a degree in Sports Management.
My Training style
Chris "Lights Out" Lytle is an American mixed martial arts fighter, boxer and a veteran of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. I was contestant on The Ultimate Fighter 4 on Spike TV, where I defeated Pete Spratt and Din Thomas. My preferred technique is the headlock, citing my flexibility is a factor in enabling me to execute choke submissions.
My Fight style
TRAINING: This type of fight is a bit harder to train for because I have to work on all areas of fighting. If I'm fighting a wrestler, I train that. A stand-up guy, it's mainly stand-up. But a well-rounded guy I usually start with cardio and stand-up in the morning and then wrestling and ground work at night.
