I was born on June 29, 1982, in Manhasset New York. I was introduced to the sport of boxing by my grandfather at a very young age, and began training at the age of thirteen. I was also a very successful basketball player, however, I gave up this pursuit in order to focus on a career in boxing. I still enjoy playing the sport, and credit my self-discipline and determination to the lessons I learned on the court. I was raised in Levittown New York, and currently live in Coram New York. I attended Queens College and hold a bachelor’s degree in Physical education. I credits Roy Jones Jr for showing me the boxing style that I employs today. I am a slick boxer puncher, with fast hands, who is extremely hard to hit. I am the hardest type of fighter to fight, I hit hard and I'm hard to hit." I am trained by Danny Melendez, who has helped me sharpen the skills that i learned early on, and he continues to help add new and effective elements to my game. I am also trained by second assistant Al "SMOKE" Ferri. My nutritional regimen is overseen by nutrition guru John Erichson of U.S.A. Dietplans. I enjoy playing with my dogs, fishing, and hanging out with my family and friends during my free time. I also like to help people learn the sport of boxing. I hope that the example I set not only as a boxer, but as a person, will help others achieve goals in their own lives.
